Softball Recap: Opp Now 10-1 over Last 11 Games

Opp barely beat Long the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 13-3 victory on Saturday. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 games by six runs or more this season.

Gradyn Lunsford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits.

On the hitting side, Opp got a big performance out of Addison Moseley, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Moseley has posted over her last four matches. Another player making a difference was Taylor Adams, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Opp always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Long only posted an OBP of .261.

Opp is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Long, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 29-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Opp beat the Rebels by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.
