Basketball Recap: Covenant Christian Academy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Covenant Christian Academy can now relate to. They took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Fighting Blue Jays are ranked 75th).

Covenant Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-11. As for St. Edmund, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

Covenant Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Edmund, they will square off against Ouachita Christian on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Ouachita Christian sitting on seven straight victories and St. Edmund on three.
