League recap: John Adams wins, gets boost in standings

John Adams was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fifth in Senate. Earlier in the week, the Rebels defeated East Tech 33-0.

Glenville extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Rhodes, 55-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

John Adams' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rebels feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Keronta Caver has thrown for 92 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Reginald Thomas has three catches for 64 yards. Dominique Hunter leads the league in rushing with 94 yards.

A big matchup in Senate this week will be when John F. Kennedy takes on John Hay. The Fighting Eagles are in third place, while John Hay is in second place.

John Adams moved up to 456 from 550 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Gary Jackson's team climbed the ranks as a result of a 33-0 win over the Scarabs.
