Volleyball Preview: East Jackson Eagles vs. North Oconee Titans
East Jackson hasn't had much luck against North Oconee recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The East Jackson Eagles will be staying on the road to face off against the North Oconee Titans at 6:00 p.m. East Jackson will be strutting in after a win while North Oconee will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, East Jackson earned a 2-0 victory over Stephens County.
Karly Petty was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 21 assists. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in the last ten games she's played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, North Oconee came up short against East Forsyth on Tuesday and fell 2-0. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
North Oconee was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made East Forsyth work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 28-26.
East Jackson's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-11. As for North Oconee, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 25-14.
