Softball Game Preview: Sheridan Generals vs. Tri-Valley Scotties

For the second straight game, Sheridan will face off against Tri-Valley. The Generals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Scotties at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Sheridan has won 11 straight at home dating back to last season, while Tri-Valley won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.

On Monday, Sheridan earned a 5-2 victory over Tri-Valley. The Generals haven't had any issues with the Scotties recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

For Tri-Valley's part, Paiton Murphy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on nine hits and racked up ten Ks. Murphy has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Alivia Reffitt made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Delaney Bell, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Sheridan's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Tri-Valley, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 11-5.
