After a string of three wins, Lanier's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to The King's Academy Knights.

Pilar Zucal paced Lanier's offense, picking up six kills. Zucal got some help from Addy Gosselin and her 11 assists. Gosselin also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kaziah Vaughn, racking up three apiece.

Lanier now has a losing record of 3-4. As for The King's Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Lanier didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against St. Andrew's on the 9th. As for The King's Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Valwood on the 9th.
