Basketball Recap: Bethesda Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Brady Knisley and Branden Roberts

Bethesda Christian lost against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bethesda Christian Patriots took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bethesda Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Branden Roberts and Brady Knisley. Roberts posted 14 points and eight rebounds, while Knisley put up ten points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Knisley a new career-high in points. Kameron Hines was another key player, putting up four points.

Even though they lost, Bethesda Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin only pulled down four offensive rebounds.

Keison Peoples was his usual excellent self, going 10 of 16 on his way to 24 points and six steals for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin. The contest was Peoples' eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Stanford, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points and four steals.

Bethesda Christian now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Bethesda Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 75-35 loss against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter on the 13th. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-35 victory against Cissna Park on the 10th.
