Basketball Recap: Kalamazoo Central Comes Up Short

Kalamazoo Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a hard 50-34 fall against the Lakeview Spartans. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Maroon Giants this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-41 back in December of 2024.

Kalamazoo Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Lakeview, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kalamazoo Central will challenge Portage Northern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakeview, they will square off against Mattawan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeview will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
