Basketball Game Preview: Winfield Vikings vs. McPherson Bullpups

Winfield is 0-10 against McPherson since February of 2020 but things could change on Thursday. The Winfield Vikings will square off against the McPherson Bullpups at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Winfield's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.

Winfield will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Buhler, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Winfield managed a 59-54 win over Buhler on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, McPherson was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Mulvane 74-36. The Bullpups have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 22 points or more this season.

Winfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.9 points over those games. McPherson's victory bumped their record up to 16-4.

Winfield was taken down by McPherson 64-26 when the teams last played back in January. Can Winfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
