Volleyball Recap: Davis Sr. Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Davis Sr. was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Del Oro Golden Eagles, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Davis Sr. was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Del Oro work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20, 27-25.

Isabella Garma-Murphy paced Davis Sr.'s offense, picking up 11 kills. Garma-Murphy got some help from Juliana Van Boxtel and her 25 assists. Finally, Mia Salvemini kept Davis Sr.'s defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Lily Smith went supernova For Del Oro., getting 15 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Smith has posted over her last seven contests. Gia Hoffman also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Davis Sr.'s defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Del Oro, the victory snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 23-8 record.
