Baseball Recap: West Limestone Takes a Loss

If West Limestone was riding high fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Hackleburg last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. West Limestone fell just short of the Giles County Bobcats by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

The defeat snapped West Limestone's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-12 record. As for Giles County, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-9.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as West Limestone Wildcats challenge Lauderdale County Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Giles County, they will take on Collinwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
