Basketball Recap: Holy Spirit Prep Takes a Loss

Holy Spirit Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. The game between them and Rock Springs Christian Academy didn't end well, with the Holy Spirit Prep Cougars falling 55-36. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-40 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rock Springs Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jase Nichols, who posted 13 points along with six steals and three blocks. Nichols has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Jaylen Dallas was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Holy Spirit Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Rock Springs Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Heritage Preparatory the next time they take the court. Rock Springs Christian Academy will head out to face Heritage Preparatory at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Holy Spirit Prep will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
