There's no place like home for Rittman, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past the Medina Christian Academy Knights 9-3 on Friday. Considering the Indians have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Odin Weirick was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Weirick was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Rittman: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brayden Louk, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Rittman is undefeated when Louk posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Rittman now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Medina Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Rittman will be playing at home against Waterloo at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Medina Christian Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lawrence Upper at 5:00 p.m. on the 29th.
