Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Extends Home Winning Streak to 16

The Lafayette Generals made easy work of the Bryan Station Defenders on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Generals.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18, 25-11.

Jake Peterson paced Lafayette's offense, picking up nine kills. Peterson got some help from Jaiden Vanover and his 27 assists. Vanover and Peterson didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with four apiece.

Lafayette's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-6. As for Bryan Station, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Lafayette and Bryan Station will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Generals see the court they'll take on Henry Clay at 6:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Bryan Station, their break will end when they face Sayre at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th.
