Clover fell just short of Nation Ford by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Clover's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Catawba Ridge waltzed into their match on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Bearcats. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Catawba Ridge were the better team in the second half.

Catawba Ridge's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four contests. As for Clover, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-3.

Clover beat Catawba Ridge by a goal in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clover since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
