Elkhorn South is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Omaha Northwest to the tune of 83-36 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Storm have posted since January 19, 2024.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bellevue East, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against Lincoln Southeast by a score of 49-41 on Saturday. The 49-point effort marked the Chieftains' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Bellevue East found their leader in sophomore Tniyah Wilson-Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Brani Jackson, who posted nine points and seven steals.

Bellevue East pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Elkhorn South, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-7.

Elkhorn South suffered a grim 69-49 defeat to Bellevue East when the teams last played two weeks ago. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Wilson-Smith, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 15 boards.
