Coral Springs Charter has gone a perfect 8-0 against Calvary Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Coral Springs Charter is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Florida's top teams: Western, who was ranked 21st at the time (Coral Springs Charter was ranked fourth). The Panthers came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 9-4 on Wednesday.
Courtney Wahlbrink made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other pitching news, Sophia Bertorelli looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Heather Robertson was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Gio Gurgel, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Calvary Christian Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 13-9 win over Somerset Academy - Canyons on Monday. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly four runs.
Reese Mittauer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off only two hits. Mittauer was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Parker Lee, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Erazo, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Calvary Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Coral Springs Charter, their win bumped their record up to 19-3.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Coral Springs Charter has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .465.
