Soccer Recap: Pueblo Centennial Has No Trouble Against Pueblo East

Pueblo Centennial kept a clean sheet against Pueblo East on Monday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 8-0 win. Considering Pueblo Centennial have won seven games by more than five goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Pueblo East from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. MaKenzie Franco led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Pueblo Centennial has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-1-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six matches. As for Pueblo East, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Pueblo East will challenge Pueblo South at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pueblo East are facing Pueblo South at the right time seeing as Pueblo South are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. Pueblo Centennial will be paying especially close attention to Pueblo East's game: after Pueblo East faces off against Pueblo South, they'll take on Pueblo Centennial again at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
