Lincoln Southeast is a perfect 10-0 against Fremont since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fremont faced Kearney in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Tigers came up short against the Bearcats, falling 5-0. The defeat continues a trend for Fremont in their meetings with Kearney: they've now lost five in a row.

Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lincoln Southeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Everything went Lincoln Southeast's way against Fremont in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Lincoln Southeast made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
