Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Kern Valley

After losing to Shafter the last time they met, Kern Valley decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Broncs walked away with a 52-44 victory over the Generals on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Broncs, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Kern Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shiloh Galvan out in front who posted 19 points. Galvan continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Gilbert Bernal was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Kern Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Shafter, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Kern Valley will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bishop Union at 7:30 p.m. on December 9. As for Shafter, they will venture away from home to square off against Coalinga at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
