Volleyball Recap: Van Nuys Takes a Loss

Van Nuys was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Sylmar Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Sylmar scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-17.

Van Nuys' loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Sylmar, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-10.

Coming up, Van Nuys will take on Triumph Charter in a tournament on Saturday. As for Sylmar, they will host Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
