Football Recap: Ethel Keeps Clinton Christian Academy's Under Pressure

Ethel's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Clinton Christian Academy Warriors by a score of 16-7.

The critical scores for Ethel came from Cameron Farmer and Zantavious Clark.

Ethel's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. Farmer refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Caleb Merritt was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making six total tackles.

Ethel's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Clinton Christian Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Ethel will take on French Camp Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Clinton Christian Academy, they will challenge Christian Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
