Brandon's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Meridian with a sharp 12-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won eight in a row.

Kameron Jordan made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Chloe Jenkins was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Keeton, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Brandon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Mendenhall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Northeast Jones.
Tyleigh Williams was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Alli Brewer was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Mendenhall's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7-1. As for Brandon, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Brandon has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .443. However, it's not like Mendenhall struggles in that department as they've averaged .508. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
