Baseball Recap: West Brunswick Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only West Brunswick walked away with it. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Carrboro Jaguars on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

West Brunswick's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-13. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Carrboro, they moved to 10-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, West Brunswick will take on Cape Fear on Friday. The Colts' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Carrboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
