Basketball Recap: Kingsley-Pierson Triumphs

Kingsley-Pierson hadn't done well against Alta-Aurelia recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Kingsley-Pierson Panthers pulled ahead with a 41-40 photo finish over the Alta-Aurelia Warriors. The 41-point effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The win got Kingsley-Pierson back to even at 3-3. As for Alta-Aurelia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Alta-Aurelia and Ar-We-Va will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Alta-Aurelia has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-3 during that stretch of close contests.
