Football Recap: Dexter Demons vs. Grants Pirates
Dexter put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Grants Pirates as the Dexter Demons made off with a 34-12 victory.
Dexter got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaesn George out in front who picked up 130 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns. George also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception. Cj Granados was another key player, rushing for 109 yards on only eight carries.
Dexter's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Grants, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Dexter will be playing in front of their home fans against Pojoaque Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grants, they are taking a road trip to take on Espanola Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Espanola Valley will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Grants surely won't give up without a fight.
