Baseball Recap: Alexander Central Gets the Win

Alexander Central won against North Davidson last Friday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Alexander Central Cougars walked away with a 10-5 win over the Ashe County Huskies. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Alexander Central got a great performance from Carter Bowman as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Gunnar Johnson and Koa Mikeal did most of the damage at the plate: Johnson went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run, while Mikeal scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That triple marked the first that Johnson hit this season. Graham Hoke was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
