Brandon and Madison Central are an even 4-4-1 against one another since February of 2016, but likely not for long. The Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Jaguars at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Their offense was hitting Starkville from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Carleigh King led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Madison Central took on Northeast Jones on Thursday. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 5-0 victory. Give Madison Central's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Madison Central's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Brandon, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0-1.

Brandon came up short against Madison Central in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 2-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
