Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Navarre). They blew past the Gulf Breeze Dolphins 46-6 on Friday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Navarre to victory, but perhaps none more so than Roman Marshall, who threw for 79 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 62 yards on only six carries. Those 62 rushing yards gave Marshall a new career-high. Xylon Subido was another key back, rushing for 68 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Navarre was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 230 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Navarre's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Gulf Breeze, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Navarre wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 41-21 loss against Pace on the 24th. As for Gulf Breeze, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-14 defeat against Mosley on the 23rd.
