Softball Recap: Manti Takes a Loss

Manti came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Davis Darts by a score of 7-5 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Templars have suffered since April 23, 2024.

Dakoda Cheney was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Daniels, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Manti now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Davis, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Manti didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-0 loss against Cyprus on the 7th. As for Davis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-0 win against Grantsville on the 7th.
