Soccer Game Recap: Port St. Lucie vs. Westwood

Port St. Lucie pushed their score to eight the last time they played Westwood, but on Wednesday they couldn't quite do it again. The Port St. Lucie Jaguars' defense stepped up to hand the Westwood Panthers a 1-0 shutout. The Jaguars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Port St. Lucie's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-11. As for Westwood, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7-1.

Port St. Lucie will square off against St. Edward's at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Port St. Lucie is facing St. Edward's at the right time seeing as St. Edward's is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Westwood, they are taking a road trip to face off against Tradition Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
