Soccer Recap: Concord Takes a Loss

Concord lost against Lake Norman Charter back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spiders came up short against the Knights, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Concord can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 460th, while Lake Norman Charter are ranked 89th).

Concord dropped their record down to 1-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Lake Norman Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Concord will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against West Rowan at 6:00 p.m. Concord are facing West Rowan at the right time seeing as West Rowan are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Lake Norman Charter, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 7-0 win against Central Cabarrus on the 9th.
