Volleyball Recap: La Porte Comes Up Short

La Porte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Lake Central Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12, 25-11.

La Porte's offense was headlined by Kevin Vinson and Damon Weaver, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Jace Pickford and his four assists.

Among those leading the charge was Nelko Dragulski, who had 19 assists and four digs. That's the most digs he has posted over his last four contests.

La Porte's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Lake Central, they pushed their record up to 23-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

La Porte didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Michigan City on the 13th. As for Lake Central, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Kouts on the 9th.
