Taylor dropped their record down to 3-7 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 4-0 to the Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS. The Yellowjackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

As for Madeira, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games.

For Madeira's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Shafer, who went 3-for-4 with two triples and two runs. Those three hits gave Shafer a new career-high.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor will challenge Reading at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Madeira, they will head out to challenge Miami Valley Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
