Basketball Recap: Pillager Takes a Loss

Pillager was the 67-48 winner over Wadena-Deer Creek when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Pillager Huskies took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines.

Pillager's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Wadena-Deer Creek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-16.

The future could be bright for both Pillager and Wadena-Deer Creek: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Pillager will look to extend Long Prairie-Grey Eagle's three-game losing streak when they meet at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Wadena-Deer Creek will try to hand Menahga their 19th-straight loss when the two meet at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
