Volleyball Recap: Fort Stockton Comes Up Short

Fort Stockton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Odessa Bronchos. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bronchos from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Fort Stockton sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-22, 23-25, 25-15.

Fort Stockton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Odessa, their victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1.

Coming up, Fort Stockton is taking a road trip to square off against Coahoma at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Odessa, they will be taking part in a tournament against Riverside at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
