A victory over Bergen Catholic helped IMG Academy crack the Top 10 of the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.

The Florida power traveled to New Jersey and survived a shootout against a very good Bergen Catholic squad, winning 59-47. The victory also provides a lift to American Heritage, which defeated IMG Academy in a preseason kickoff classic that was played like a game but officially counts as a scrimmage. American Heritage lost narrowly to No. 4 DeMatha as well earlier this season.

Entering the rankings this week is Mater Dei, which knocked off nationally ranked Bishop Amat earlier this season and now sits at 4-0.
