Softball Recap: Alleman Comes Up Short

Alleman lost against Moline back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pioneers came up short against the Maroons, falling 8-2. The matchup marked the Pioneers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Campbell Humphrey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Diaz, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one RBI.

Alleman dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Moline, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.

Coming up, Alleman will challenge Rock Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Moline, they will square off against Normal West at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
