Football Game Preview: Lincoln Park Lions vs. Amundsen Vikings + Official Tickets

The Lincoln Park Lions will head out to take on the Amundsen Vikings at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lincoln Park will be strutting in after a win while Amundsen will be coming in after a defeat.

Lincoln Park took a 34-point loss the last time they faced off against Taft, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions slipped by the Eagles 21-20 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Meanwhile, Amundsen fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Whitney Young on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Dolphins by a score of 17-14. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Dolphins are ranked 113th).

Lincoln Park's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Amundsen, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Lincoln Park and Amundsen were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but Lincoln Park came up empty-handed after a 13-12 loss. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
