If Millington Central was feeling good fresh off their 52-9 takedown of Raleigh-Egypt last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Millington Central Trojans took a 49-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Munford Cougars on Tuesday. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Arianna Whiten, who posted 12 points. Ayanna Ransom was another key player, putting up eight points.

Millington Central's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 15-10. As for Munford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Millington Central has already played their next match (against Craigmont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Munford will head out on the road to take on Covington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
