Football Game Preview: Central Rockets vs. Dundee-Crown Chargers

The Central Rockets will challenge the Dundee-Crown Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Central has four straight victories, Dundee-Crown has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Central humbled Crystal Lake Central with a 41-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won four contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Dundee-Crown played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 41-15 to Prairie Ridge. The Chargers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-7.

Dundee-Crown's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Central, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Dundee-Crown when the teams last played back in September of 2024, sneaking past 24-22. Will the Rockets repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
