Basketball Recap: Howard Takes a Loss

Howard lost against Southwest back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Huskies came up short against the Patriots, falling 78-58.

Chase Dupree was a one-man wrecking crew For Southwest. as he went 15-for-24 to rack up 39 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Those 39 points gave Dupree a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ovtavios Raglin, who posted seven points and five steals.

Howard's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Southwest, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Howard will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Westside at 7:30 p.m. on December 1. As for Southwest, they will face off against Peachtree Ridge at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
