Football Recap: Santa Fe Skates Past Fort Bend Clements with Ease + How To Watch

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Santa Fe's strategy against Fort Bend Clements on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Indians blew the Rangers out of the water with a 56-13 final score. With the Indians ahead 35-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Santa Fe found their leader in sophomore Tyler Puccetti, who rushed for 163 yards and three scores while picking up 8.6 yards per carry.

Santa Fe was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 213 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Bend Clements only rushed for 96 rushing yards.

Several Rangers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was La'Prince Fowler, who picked up 102 receiving yards and one TD.

Santa Fe's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for Fort Bend Clements, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Santa Fe and Fort Bend Clements will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Indians will take on rival Lamar Consolidated at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fort Bend Clements is set to face off against their familiar foe Fort Bend Bush at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
