Recap: Waldron Mohawks vs. Hauser Jets

After flying high against the Seven Oaks Classical Firehawks last Saturday, the Waldron Mohawks came back down to earth. Waldron fell to Hauser 40-34. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Waldron has scored all season.

Waldron lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Max Jones, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three blocks. It was the first time this season that Jones posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Lucas Shaw, who scored 12 points.

Waldron has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Hauser, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

Waldron will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Sheridan at 7:30 p.m. on February 23rd. Sheridan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Waldron likes a good challenge. As for Hauser, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenwood Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Greenwood Christian Academy is coming into the matchup with six straight wins on the road, so Hauser is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
