Baseball Recap: Cherry Comes Up Short

After flying high against Kelley on Tuesday, Cherry came back down to earth. The Tigers fell 6-1 to the South Ridge Panthers on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Noah Asuma made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and one double. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times he's played.

Cherry's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for South Ridge, their win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5.
