Baseball Game Preview: Public Safety Academy Phoenix vs. Desert Chapel Eagles

The Public Safety Academy Phoenix will head out on the road to square off against the Desert Chapel Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Public Safety Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Public Safety Academy got the win against Weaver by a conclusive 15-1. Considering the Phoenix have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Matt Bennett, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Phillip Ruiz, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Public Safety Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Desert Chapel was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against Loma Linda Academy, falling 12-1. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Public Safety Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Desert Chapel, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Public Safety Academy took their victory against Desert Chapel when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 18-8 score. Will the Phoenix repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
