Volleyball Recap: East Carteret Comes Up Short on the Road Against Swansboro

East Carteret kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Swansboro Pirates, falling 3-0. The Mariners have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-7, 25-16.

Skyler Bordeaux paced East Carteret's offense, picking up four kills. Bordeaux got some help from Kolby Piner and her 16 assists.

East Carteret didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against West Carteret on the 12th. As for Swansboro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 win against White Oak on the 12th.
