While Wapsie Valley's win against Alburnett wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors won by a run and slipped past the Pirates 8-7. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won six in a row.

Wapsie Valley's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Alburnett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.
