Basketball Game Preview: Ballard Christian Eagle vs. Wiregrass Kings

The Ballard Christian Eagle will challenge the Wiregrass Kings at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses dating back to last season for Ballard Christian and ten for Wiregrass.

Back in December of 2024, Ballard Christian came up short against LaGrange Academy and fell 66-54.

Meanwhile, Wiregrass lost to Evangel Christian at home by a 61-43 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Kings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while the Lightning are ranked 60th).

Ballard Christian will have to keep a close watch on Graysen Ellison and Tucker Duren, a pair of players who had a big impact on Wiregrass' prior game. Ellison posted 14 points and six rebounds, while Duren put up 13 points. Those six rebounds gave Ellison a new career-high.

Ballard Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Wiregrass, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
