Gibbs waltzed into their contest on Saturday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. They came out on top against the East Lake Eagles by a score of 75-64. Given the Gladiators' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Eagles are ranked 121st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Among those leading the charge was Isaiah Medina, who posted nine points.

East Lake's loss came despite strong showings from Jordan Bryant and Andre Willis. Bryant dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards, while Willis went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 21 points. What's more, Willis also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shane Singleton, who scored three points and five assists.

Gibbs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for East Lake, their record now sits at 18-7.

As of now, neither Gibbs nor East Lake have any future games scheduled.
